6 Tips for Starting Internal Collaboration

The uptake of IT has always been about people, but with social technologies you have to pay even more attention to the social factors. Sending out invites to an internal social network without some thoughtful planning will most likely end up in disappointment; however, the chances of success can be greatly improved by following a planned strategic rollout. We have worked with numerous internal social network solutions (e.g. Yammer, Podio, Google+ Internal), but the fundamental components are pretty much the same: posts, comments, likes, file sharing, hash tagging, etc. It is therefore becoming less about the technology and more about how to use it.
